A reflective leader with three decades of experience in educational technology, Bill is the Director of Technology at Montclair Kimberley Academy in Montclair, New Jersey.  He evolved from third-grade teacher to primary school technology coordinator to webmaster and high school web design instructor. For over a decade, he has worked as a consultant helping dozens of schools, providing database, information systems, technology audits, and implementation support. 

 

He volunteers extensively with the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS), helping to design the ATLIS Technology Impact and Efficacy (TIE) assessment, ATLIS Certification for Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (TLIS), and co-hosts the Talking Technology with ATLIS podcast.

Aleksandr Duba

Alek Duba first interacted with Veracross in middle school: reviewing assignments in the student portal. After using Veracross as a student, Alek went on to teach at a Veracross school in Haverhill, MA, where he taught high school Spanish and coached Varsity Girls soccer.

 

More than three years of teaching later, Alek started working at Veracross as an account manager. He worked with over 20 clients in support and managed 5+ full implementations and numerous module installations. He later transitioned to the Knowledge Management team working on Veracross University (maybe you have heard Alek talking about merging duplicate records). 

 

After over 2.5 years at Veracross, Alek started working at Montclair Kimberley Academy, a private Pre-K-12 school in Northern New Jersey in the summer of 2020. He took over the implementation of Veracross and managed the many changes in the face of the pandemic in his first year (never want to do that again!). He continues to work at MKA as the Database Coordinator and JV Girls Soccer coach.

 

Alek currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, and aside from Veracross enjoys roasting coffee, playing soccer as often as possible, getting his clock cleaned at Chess, and SCUBA diving whenever the opportunity arises. 

Sam Wilson

Senior Technical Support Consultant

Sam started his professional career as an Associate Program Manager for a Contract Manufacturing company called Microboard. After working there for a year, Alek Duba recruited Sam to work as both a Technical Account manager and Technical Support Specialist at Veracross for 3 years.

 

As a Technical Account Manager, Sam operated as the lead point of contact for schools. He also lead multiple AP3 implementations, assisted clients with technical troubleshooting, and conducted training sessions. As a Technical Support Specialist, Sam created several technical solution articles that would help clients resolve issues on their own. Worked alongside the engineering team to identify any system-wide issues or bugs within the software.  Lead the technical support team in client satisfaction and the number of cases closed. His specialties include Online Enrollment, Event Registration, Admissions, and Other Programs

 

Currently, Sam works as a Technical Account Manager at Reltio where he serves as a technical expert and internal advocate for top customers. Reltio is an award-winning SaaS company based in Silicon Valley that is at the heart of Digital Transformation for innovative Global 2000 companies. 

 

In his free time, Sam enjoys long walks with his wife and dog. He also volunteers as a youth soccer coach and tutor.
